Ms Jennifer Oakes
Personal message: Every classroom has its own unique community. Our role as educators is to assist each child in developing their full potential within this and the wider community. Presenting curriculum that is relevant allows students to gain and apply knowledge, deepen their understanding and develop creative and critical thinking skills within an authentic context, equipping them with the skills to become lifelong learners.
Statement of areas of responsibility: Jennifer shares the Coordinator responsibility for Science and Technology. She leads and supports staff in effective delivery and implementation of the new Science and Technology program using the new curriculum. Jennifer also plans and implements STEM activities for the K–2 classroom and is a Mentor Teacher.
Professional experience: Jennifer began teaching at All Hallows Catholic Primary School Five Dock in 2013 in the role of classroom teacher. She has over twenty years experience as a classroom teacher. Jennifer has also held leadership roles as coordinator and classroom teacher in local and international primary schools in Hong Kong.
